Football Match in Mendoza, Argentina

Mendoza, Argentina

I went to a football match today with a few guys I met in the hostel; a Scottish, Welsh, English and an Irish. I felt like I was back in the UK, ha. It was Mendoza (Home team) verses Buenos Aires. It wasn't packed out like the stadiums in the USA (because it was a smallish town I assume) but it had just as much noise, and definitely a better atmosphere. Most of the home team fans purchased the cheap seats and sat in 95 degree sunny weather. The away fans (not many of them) sat on the other side of the field and were just as excited as the home fans.

Once in a while, about every 20 minutes, people came by with fireman hoses and sprayed the fans (home and away) with much needed cold water. It was a fantastic game, never been to anything like it. I'll be going to a few games in Buenos Aires which have a much larger crowed. Should be fun.
